Focus

Topside ProMedia tells stories on video. These include promotional video, sales video, demonstration video, recruiting video, social media video and event video for social events, video for seminars, video for conferences and video for trade shows.

Based in Tacoma, WA, just southwest of Seattle, Topside ProMedia is not just another videographer – our business is about half in the category of “videography” and half in “video production” What’s the difference? I’m glad you asked.

Videographers function in much the same way as photographers – they attend a pre-planned event, capturing the essence of what happens as it happens. Although we still do a few high-end weddings from time to time, our main focus in videography is more business and community functions – trade shows, product unveilings, music and dance performances, conferences, keynotes, charity fundraisers and the like.

Video Producers on the other hand create actual video productions, formulating the experience we want the viewer to have and creating that on the screen. This includes business video for PR, promotional or recruiting purposes, music videos, documentaries and short films: quality video content for our clients’ websites, blogs, social media channels and crowdfunding campaigns.

To reach a 21st Century audience, bear in mind that they all grew up watching television. That tells you three things:

1- VIDEO is their native language.  They have little patience for long blocks of text or diagrams they have to try to figure out. Online or off, moving pictures with sound is their expected means of communication.

2 – They HATE commercials. They have learned to “tune out” most commercial messages. That’s when they go get a snack or head to the restroom. Traditional salespitches simply don’t get their attention.

3- They LOVE a good story.  That’s why they watch.  They love stories about people – people they can relate to and care about. That’s our focus.

No other medium speaks to this audience better than video – which is why the 21st Century Internet is becoming video-centric at a lighting pace. On this website you will find samples of the various categories of videos we have created – these are projects we’ve done in the past few years but are by no means all we can do.
